What I do:  I am an LGBTQ+ identified counselor.  I work with people within the LGBTQ+ community to offer them a unique experience with someone who understands some of the dynamics and unique struggles that this population faces every day.    I want those who choose me as their counselor to know that you are walking into a judgment-free environment where it is safe for you to be yourself.

Why did I choose to become a counselor:  I chose to become a counselor because I want to give people who are grappling to figure out their own identities or those who may be afraid to come out, the chance to talk with someone who has been challenged by similar obstacles and experiences of feeling isolated by society.

A little about myself:  I was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to New Orleans at a very young age and I consider both to be my home.  I am married and have two children and a house full of pets.

My education:  I graduated from the University of New Orleans with a bachelor of science in Psychology in 2012.  In 2018, I earned a masters of counseling from the University of Holy Cross.
